The Unsung Hero of Modern Connectivity: Unify Wi-Fi System Deserves More Credit
What is Unify?
Unifi Wi-Fi is a revolutionary Wi-Fi system that offers enterprise performance, unlimited scalability, a central management controller, and disruptive pricing. Developed by Ubiquiti Networks, it is designed to provide robust, reliable, and high-performance wireless networking across various environments, from homes and small businesses to large enterprises.
I started using Unify several years ago when the company name was Ubiquity. Stumble upon them as I was frustrated extending our Wi-Fi coverage at home. I switched from Netgear, Linksys, TP-Link, etc. Nothing seems to work based on the setup we wanted.
Why I switched to Unify?
I started with several Access Points (APs) and was impressed how straight forward the setup process is. You can even get started with their mobile App.
Then here comes the birth of many smart devices which led me to expand and added Power Over Ethernet (PoE) standard switch and eventually the UniFi Dream Machine Pro (UDM Pro) Security Gateway (VPN, Firewall, and IDS/IPS).
